MORE surgery, and Grand baby's

Well, don't you know... I didn't get through the winter without finding something else to have surgery on.  I had a hernia to the left of my belly button.  Had that fixed in February.  On April 2nd, i'm free to do what I want!
 Rob fell and cracked two ribs and broke one. He's healing slowly and almost all healed and they find he has Basal Cell Carcinoma  on the right side of his nose.  That has to be removed and plastic surgery.  Let's hope that heals well and they get all the cancer.  Keep us in mind for a few extra prayers.

Got some really cute pictures of the grand kids and I can't wait to scrap them.

A few things from around the house.

So it's Sunday and it's raining and blah.  Almost all the leaves are off the trees.  This is the time of year I love the most....and yet again, I find myself sitting and wishing summer was still here.  I think...it's my age.  I'm 53 and I feel like my life has slipped right through my hands.  NEVER did I think I'd be 53.  (Better than not waking up, that's for sure)  But, i'm starting to feel those little aches and pains...okay, maybe not so little.
     I've gone through some heath things in the last few years.  Foot surgery, shoulder surgery, breast reduction, knee surgery, and emergency gallbladder surgery.  NEXT UP:  sinus surgery.  I'm hoping to schedule that in January.  Not to mention I'm having some BIG dental work done.  a couple of the crowns I have are over 20 years old and now have to be replaced.  Like I said, I'm not enjoying this getting older thing. And again...it's better than the alternative.
     It's nice to be able to get up in the morning and Thank God for being alive!

Welcome Back

It's been... well years since I've blogged on this site.  I didn't even remember I had it until I came across it by accident.  I was like...WHAT THE HELL?  I forgot about this! I was actually thinking of starting another one up.  I'm glad I found this one.  Lord...I have no clue how many blogs I have out there and don't use anymore.

So, looking at the date I last blogged, it was sometime in 2010. It's now November 2013.  Many Many things have changed.

I'm still in my little Cottage Town House.  And I love it! I'm sure much has changed here in looks, but I'll get to that.

I lost my Dad to cancer in 2012.  That has to be the biggest thing that has happened to me since I last blogged. My mom suffered greatly.  I guess that's what happens when you've been married to the same person for almost 50 years.  She has however really started getting out and doing things now.  She's traveling with friends right now.  And I'm glad she is!  She really needs to get out!  I'm hoping she meets someone to spend the rest of her life with.  She's only 67.  She needs companionship. 

I've had a few health problems here and there... knee surgery, rotatory cuff surgery and emergency gallbladder surgery.  SMH.  I'm so done with surgery.  BUT I have to schedule sinus surgery.  ACK!

I'm planning on doing that sometime in January 2014.

I'm very excited that my mom is coming to spend a few weeks with us in February 2014.  I'm in the process of redoing Nik's room into a guest room!  I've cleared the entire room except for the bed and a bookcase.  I'll be taking pictures of that and posting.

I've been "fall" cleaning around here.  Totally reorganized the kitchen and pantry, the bathrooms, the linen closet and the master bedroom closet.  I also cleared out Nik's closet.  

The big plans for the coming months... painting the upstairs bathroom, painting the bedroom and getting it outfitted with what it needs to be a cute little cottage bedroom!  

I'm working on redoing a few rooms...but that comes one room at a time for me.  I can't do to many projects at once..if I do...I get discouraged and just want to quit.  One thing at a time for me.  

I also have wallpaper to strip off the craft room wall.  Then I want to paint that room.  I also want to take the washer and dryer out and paint and redo the laundry closet.  I know the list goes on and on.

Well... I think I'm back on track for blogging... hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with another entry!
